Beginner Acrylic Painting

Have you had your fill of Paint and Sip projects? Ready for a more in-depth painting experience? This four-week course will introduce you to the wonder of painting with acrylic paints while creating several finished compositions. Simple subject matter such as florals, landscapes, and still life will be explored. No previous art experience is required, and all supplies are provided. 9" x 12" canvases will be provided for the projects. Students may bring in larger canvases if desired. Grab some friends to enjoy this relaxing class with you and be happily surprised by your work!

About the Instructor

With a biology degree under her belt, Kelley Cappell is a qualified scientific illustrator situated in Geneva, Illinois. She is the current contract illustrator for Brookfield Zoo. Her passion is for science, nature, and drawing and providing instruction in painting techniques and other mediums. Kelley can compose artwork applying the traditional method of using paint and pencil or by creating digitally mastered work. Kelley takes great care to produce quality images that reflect her love for her subjects and her craft.
