Deborah DiVita Glascott’s belief in individual potential led her to Water Street Studios, a place where exposure, experience and participation in creative expression serves the local community.
Deborah has been an Oil Painting instructor with WSS School of Art since its inception in 2009. Deborah’s teaching style derives from the principles of passion and personal vision. See her work here.
Gayle Faber, Water Soluble Oil Instructor
Gayle has studied Interior Design at College of DuPage and is certified from the Chicago Institute of Fine Finishes. She has worked as a designer and muralist. She is a charter member of the Kendall County Arts Guild and owner of Studio 60 in Oswego. She brings years of experience in teaching painting, fused glass, and pottery to all ages.
Kevin Hunter, Watercolor Instructor
Kevin Hunter learned to paint at the age of seven when his grandmother taught him to use watercolors and he’s been at it ever since. In high school, he studied drawing with children’s book illustrator Robert Baumgartner. In college, he studied medical illustration and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in drawing/painting. He also studied portrait and still life painting for two years at Chicago’s historic Palette and Chisel Academy. He has won numerous local and national awards for both drawing and painting.
Hunter is an experienced teacher, having taught for fifteen years at Elgin Community College in the Communication Arts program. He has also taught drawing at Northern Illinois University and at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. Hunter maintains a vigorous studio practice in Batavia.
