Water street studios Board of Directors
Water Street Studios Staff
Danielle (Dani) joined Water Street Studios in September of 2015 after completing her Masters in Nonprofit Management. Dani has helped raise over $500,000 to support the arts in the Fox Valley region. She believes in the power of collaboration over competition to rally a community around a cause.
After years of traveling, working on farms, and running a music hostel, she now lives back in her hometown with her partner and pup. You can find this trio about town supporting local events with friends and family.
director of education
Karine Bauch joined the Water Street Studios team as the Director of Education in June of 2016. Previously, she was director of The Learning Vine in Naperville and ran her own art instruction company, Masterpiece Art Instruction. She has taught art classes locally and online for 16 years and now enjoys mentoring art teachers and students at Water Street Studios
Her degree in Illustration from Fashion Institute of Technology helped refine her drawing and painting skills. Her other interests include paper marbling, guitar, piano, and singing. She lives in North Aurora with her husband and two sons.
events & facilities manager
Jaime arrived at Water Street Studios in January of 2015. He quickly developed a deep appreciation for this community of creators and their work. He is dedicated to providing a clean, comfortable, and well-lit atmosphere to support the creative process. As the Events and Facilities Manager, he strives to provide unique experiences outside the usual offerings.
Jaime is a husband, father, mobile DJ, trivia host, and podcaster. He loves soccer. A bit too much, perhaps.
Ryan joined Water Street Studios in 2018. As an art alumni of Elgin Community College and Northern Illinois University, he is eager to help support and grow his native creative community of the greater Fox Valley region. Previous to joining WSS, Ryan traveled nationally working in Phoenix, Seattle, Columbus, and Milwaukee, in education, product design and print manufacturing, as well as volunteering with several youth education and art non-profits.
Ryan’s degree is in fine art with an emphasis in printmaking practices. He is currently an active studio artist living and working in Saint Charles, Illinois, as well as a part time Gallery Assistant for the ECC galleries and a committed uncle of three children. When he’s not in the studio, Ryan enjoys the dog park, cycling, baking, practicing guitar, boardgames, and going to the cinema.
Becka has always been drawn to Water Street Studios. In 2017, she started as a volunteer, then became art instructor at Water Street Studios.
Becka is an artist from Aurora, Illinois. She is continuing her education at College of DuPage; with dreams of becoming an Animator and an art teacher. She has taught art classes for homeschool programs and art classes for Blick Art Materials. Becka also has her Copic Marker Certification through Imagination International Inc.
When Becka isn’t creating art, you can find her spending time with her family. She also loves watching animations, playing video games, writing stories, and drinking coffee.
